In 2016, a campaign was launched to purchase the freehold of The Yew Tree to avoid it being turned into a residential property. The Avon Dassett Community Benefit Society was formed to take the purchase forward.  With the support of investors, the pub became ours in 2017.

It is now firmly established as the heart of the village and is a thriving community business under the tenancy of Jack McEntee and Happy Wolf Pub Company Ltd. 

We are now looking to the future and want to improve the facilities at our much-loved pub. We have exciting plans to enhance the kitchen facilities, upgrade the toilets and undertake general improvements to make the pub more accessible and more energy efficient. 

We need more investors to help us to achieve our ambitions and enable the Yew Tree to grow.

Your investment would help to support the growth of a local community business and could also earn you interest. This year we are proposing to pay shareholders 2% interest on their investment.

Shares can be purchased on behalf of people under the age of 18 but the applicant must be above the minimum age limit. 

In this case the shares will be held as : Fred Bloggs on Behalf of Amy Bloggs where Fred Bloggs is the applicant and Amy Bloggs is the minor.

Shares are available at £50 each; minimum purchase is one share. 

Above this you may buy as many as you like to a maximum of £5,000.
